JGI Geo-Services Ltd has been commissioned to complete Phase II ground investigations on a number of proposed development sites in Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire. These sites had already been subject to Phase I Geo-Environmental Assessment and initial Phase II site investigations by other consultants. The sites ranged from agricultural land, through a former commercial laundry site to a large showground / sports fields site and the methods of investigations have included: static cone penetration testing, trial pits, window sampling & dynamic probing and soakaway testing. These investigations have been undertaken in order to provide further information for foundation design, contaminated land & groundwater risk asseessment and for the design of sustainable surface water drainage system. We have also undertaken liaison with various local and regulatory authorities relating to the discharging of relevant planning conditions applied to the developments proposed on these sites.
