At JGI Geo-Services Ltd, we have extensive experience of the investigation and assessment of ‘brownfield sites’, from various factory and sewerage works, to former oil refineries, chemical works and gassing landfills. We can provide advice whether you are an existing land owner, a seller or a potential purchaser / developer of a site, including:

Initial Desk Study Assessments

  • Consideration of the geological, hydrological and hydrogeological setting of the site.
  • Inspection of the site by an experienced Geo-Environmental Engineer.
  • Formation of an initial Conceptual Site Model and assessment of potential environmental risks and liabilities based upon identified and potential source-pathway-receptor (target) linkages.

Intrusive Ground Investigations

  • Intrusive investigation of sites, including soil, groundwater and, as required, ground gas monitoring.
  • Laboratory testing of soils and waters, with comparison of the results to current guidance and legislation.

Risk Assessment
