Earthworks
We are experienced in earthworks using granular and cohesive materials, pfa, lime & cement stabilised soils and rock fill to create development platforms, to backfill opencast mines and quarries, to construct highways & other transport infrastructure and to re-profile steeply sloping sites. Our services include:
- Initial appraisals of proposals and investigation and testing of potential earthwork materials from either proposed borrow-pit areas or existing stockpiles.
- Design and preparation of specifications.
- On site supervision, validation of works & preparation of completion reports.
Ground Improvement
We can provide the options appraisal, design, specification and supervision of various ground improvement techniques including:
- Dynamic Compaction.
- Vibro compaction, vibro-stone and vibro-concrete columns.
- Soil mixed columns.
- Surcharging & accelerated consolidation.
We have experience of a wide range of projects from large commercial developments on former landfills and loose sand fills through to trunk road, motorway and storage tank construction over very soft / highly compressible alluvial soils.
